Crikey!!!!!!!!!!

Friends and family gathered together Saturday to pay their respects to Steve Irwin with a low-key private memorial at his Australia Zoo in Queensland, according to EOnline.com. The service was attended by all the Irwin family, wife Terri's family from America and some of Steve's closest friends and workmates. A larger public service is expected to be held at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on either Tuesday or Wednesday. A monument is going to be constructed at the zoo where people can pay homage to Irwin. The Australia Zoo has turned into a Down Under Graceland for public mourners, with flowers, sympathy cards and hordes of Irwin's signature khaki safari shirts shrouding its gates.

I still cannot believe that "The Crocidle Hunter" was killed by a stingray. A man who made his living off of playing with crocidles and venomous snakes being killed by a non-aggressive stingray is kind of an irony. Irwin was a very likable person and millions across the world will miss hearing him saying his signature catch phrase "Crikey". I admired Irwin for his care free attitude. He put no limits on what he could do and he became a wildlife icon. I wish his family the best and Steve will never be forgotten by his many fans.
